Trauma-Informed Counselling

Difficult or traumatic experiences can affect how we feel, think, behave, and relate to others. People respond to trauma in different ways, and there is no single “right” response. I provide confidential online counselling as a respectful place to understand your experiences and find manageable steps forward.

Understanding Trauma Responses

I can help you understand trauma responses such as feeling overwhelmed, emotionally triggered, disconnected, constantly alert, or unsure how to cope—without judgment and at a pace that feels manageable.

Build Safety and Regulation

I can help you develop grounding and emotional regulation skills, understand triggers, and build a greater sense of safety in daily life.

Strengthen Coping and Resources

I can support you in identifying healthier coping strategies, reconnecting with strengths and personal resources, and supporting relationships and everyday functioning.

Move Forward at Your Pace

Trauma-Informed Approach

What does trauma-informed counselling mean?

1

My trauma-informed counselling approach does not require you to immediately discuss or relive traumatic experiences. You can work at a pace that feels manageable, with attention to safety, choice, trust, and your strengths.

What is the ARC Trauma Framework?

2

I use principles from the Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) Trauma Framework, focusing on safety, relationships, emotional regulation, and building practical coping and life skills.

What training and experience do you have?

3
