Addiction Counselling

I provide confidential online addiction counselling for adults across Ontario. Asking for help with alcohol, drugs, addictive behaviours, or concerns about substance use can be difficult. Counselling provides a confidential, supportive, and non-judgmental place to explore what is happening and consider practical next steps.

Book a Confidential Session

I provide a supportive and non-judgmental place to begin.

Understanding Substance Use and Addiction

I can help you explore how substance use or addictive behaviours fit into your life and what you want to change. My focus is on understanding your experience without judgment and supporting steps that reflect your goals, needs, and circumstances.

Alcohol and Drug Use

I work with adults who are concerned about alcohol or drug use, including the effects on mood, relationships, work, health, finances, or daily life. You do not need to wait for a crisis or use a particular label before reaching out.

Recognizing Triggers and Cravings

I can help you identify situations, thoughts, emotions, people, routines, or environments that may increase cravings or urges. Recognizing these patterns can make it easier to plan for difficult moments.

Understanding Patterns of Substance Use

You Don’t Have to Wait Until Things Get Worse

You do not have to wait until substance use has caused a major crisis before seeking support. I can provide a confidential place to talk when you first notice concern, want to understand your substance use, or feel ready to consider a change.

Developing Healthier Coping Strategies

I work with you to understand what substance use may be helping you manage, such as stress, difficult emotions, trauma-related experiences, loneliness, or other life circumstances. Together, we can consider coping strategies that are practical and meaningful for you.

Managing Cravings and Urges

I can help you practise ways to pause, notice cravings, delay action, shift attention, contact support, and make choices that fit your goals. We can focus on strategies that feel realistic for your current circumstances.

Relapse Prevention

I can help you identify high-risk situations, early warning signs, and supports that may be useful if substance use or addictive behaviours return. A setback can be explored as information for future planning, without shame or judgment.
